Bren Parolin

Background

I am a first-class registered (ANutr & SENr) & an awarded (ARFITEC, 2010) Nutritionist & an Agr. Engineer. I have also completed an MSc. in Sport & Exercise Nutrition.

Additional Training

Neurosciences, Health Behaviour Change, IBS, Gut & Mental Health, Veganism, Vegetarianism, Nutrigenetics, Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Music, Colour & Aroma Therapies, Intuitive & Mindful Eating. 

 

My passion for boosting wellness & performance with the most up-to-date science-based techniques keeps me in continuous development, so I regularly participate in different courses & congresses in the UK & abroad. Besides, I also embrace alternative therapies, such as the ancient ones from Patagonia's natives, aromatherapy & others, which I combine & offer complimentary if requested. 

 

Experience 

My experience spans over 10 years, including teaching, scientific research & nutrition & wellness consulting services. I have worked for the renowned University of Buenos Aires & the food & nutraceutical industries. I now focus on supporting wellness & performance for whole families and collaborate with St George Hospital. I also work for footballers from important FIFA agents, such as Andrea Boscolo & Patrick Bastianelli.

In typical cases, I work on weight management, body composition, behaviour change, cooking skills, oral health, skin and sleep quality, mood, mental health & performance.

 

Approach

The sessions take place in a relaxed, flexible & friendly atmosphere. The plans are personalised & multifactorial. Specific tests can be recommended to help shape the plan by considering your genetics, allergies, intolerances, nutritional deficiencies, etc. These tests are optional and will be discussed with you if relevant. Between sessions, I keep working & interacting with you to produce practical material & cost-effective sessions. I limit the number of new people I see monthly to give full attention to every case. In addition, I work with other professionals that I can recommend if needed.

I can deliver the sessions & material in English, Spanish or Italian. I also understand Portuguese & French; so, you can speak the language that is more comfortable for you. 

 

My Story

My interest in an integrative approach started when I was 24 years old. At that time, I suffered from acne, was overweight & I was frequently ill. After trying many professionals without results, I became tired of the conventional system. I felt that most health advisors were just worried about making profit without interest in discovering the causes of my issues. I was also tired of professionals being annoyed or evasive to my questions. That is why, since then, I have been trying to broaden my knowledge & expertise to give a holistic approach to target all the triggers possible & achieve long-term results. I also became a nutritionist thanks to my passion about health from within and cooking.

I am genuinely interested in helping out & happy to answer questions & keep investigating. Returning to my past issues, I managed to overcome everything. I just needed to connect all the factors that were influencing me & follow an integrative plan, considering physical, nutritional & psychosocial aspects.
